Things with Wings

Birds and butterflies play a central part in the ecology of the peninsula, but so do the host of “lesser” winged organisms whose importance is far greater than is commonly recognized. In this program, Jess will use his photos, poetry and stories to introduce a few of these creatures, from hummingbirds to hover flies. All have tales to tell of why they matter, both to themselves and to us. We live in a rich world. Let’s keep it so.
